Science + Religion = Truth

Uncategorized
"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind." ~Albert Einstein. I walked away from God & religion at about nine years old because the blind faith that was being asked of me didn't sit well with me... "because we said so" was not an acceptable answer to the questions that I had about God. From that point on, I believed wholeheartedly in science when it came to explaining life & although science was giving me some facts & sounded a lot more logical, there was still something missing. So after twenty years of suffering, because I had no real sense of direction, I finally stumbled upon the Truth. I had to have faith that the journey I was about to embark on would bring the results that I…

Domestic Tranquility

Uncategorized
I have this theory that The U.S. Constitution is a principle based instruction manual that absolutely, 100% guarantees success if it's instructions are understood & followed. It starts with understanding... you can't possess something that you don't understand (JW Von Goethe). Then comes possession... you can't transmit something that you don't possess. So once I understand something, I can possess it... once I possess something, I can transmit it or teach it to others. Here is an example of a constitutional principle... 'Domestic Tranquility'... first I have to understand what it means. Domestic Tranquility means peace here at home. Now, I want to understand this at it's simplest level first. The body is my home & therefore, inner peace is domestic tranquility at it's most fundamental level. Once I possess…

The fear of god brought misery & suffering. The Love of God brought peace & happiness.

Uncategorized
"Why don't you choose your own conception of God" ~Anon. As a kid, I was taught to fear the wrath of god & the end result of that belief system was 20+ years of misery. As an adult, I was taught that I could choose my own conception of God, so I chose the opposite of the one that didn't work. Since the belief of the spiteful, vengeful, vindictive, punishing, jealous god brought misery... I decide to go with a kind, gentle, loving, caring God instead & the end result of this belief system is peace, power, happiness, strength & direction. The fear of god brought misery & suffering. The Love of God brought peace & happiness. I'm sticking with love! Have a great day everybody!

God Is Love

The Seven Main Aspects of God: 1) Life 2) Love 3) Spirit 4) Soul 5) Truth 6) Intelligence 7) Principle These seven things come from God & God alone. Seeking these things from any source other than God would be futile. The one that is most important to me is 'Love'. I spent my entire life trying to 'GET' Love from people. I'll be whoever you need me to be... I'll change whatever you need me to change... I'll do whatever you need me to do... just please Love me! Through all of this, molding myself to be what everyone else in my world wanted me to be, I lost myself... I lost my true identity... I forgot who I wanted to be. Finally, at 33 years old, I learned…

I Love America

"Personal opinion is exceedingly likely to be wrong" ~Emmet Fox. The world today is being run by opinions rather than facts & that is why we are having all of the problems that we are having. The bible says "By their fruits, ye shall know them". What are our fruits here in America? 1) We stopped trusting in God & lost our 'domestic tranquility' (peace here at home). 2) We stopped adequately providing for the 'common defense' & lost our security. 3) We have stopped living within our means & lost our ability to 'promote the general welfare' of our people. How do we fix it? Well, here is the real kicker... the absolute common sense solution... the fact of the matter. In order to fix it, we simply do…

Visionary

Uncategorized
America's founding fathers were true visionaries! What does it mean to be a visionary? The requirements for being a true visionary are... hindsight, insight & foresight. One must first be willing to look back & study those who came before them (hindsight). Then one must be willing to take a good hard look at the facts & ask themselves "How's that working for us here & now?" (insight). Last, but certainly not least, one must analyze their hindsight & insight in order to move forward sanely, efficiently & effectively (foresight). When our founding fathers looked back they saw many, many things that didn't work & they saw one thing that never failed... that one thing is God! When people turn to God for strength & direction they can govern themselves…

Security

Uncategorized
"Without some degree of spiritual understanding, there is no security" ~Emmet Fox. There are forces... rules... laws at work in this world that I need to become familiar with. What I call this force is irrelevant, but how it works is supremely relevant! This Force says that getting married won't eliminate my fear of being alone & that money won't eliminate my financial insecurities. Now, that doesn't mean that I shouldn't get married or take a better job... what it means is that I'm setting myself up to be disappointed if I rely on people, places or things for security instead of the Powers to be within me. Example: If someone says something derogatory about me I have a choice... I can either believe what they say & feel hurt…

Direct My Thinking

"All day long the thoughts that occupy your mind are moulding your destiny for good or evil; in fact, the truth is that the whole of our life's experience is but the outer expression of inner thought." ~Emmet Fox. This was the single most important lesson I've ever learned! If my thinking is right, my life is right; if my thinking is wrong, my life is wrong. I never realized how important it is to pay attention to what's going on in my head. I rolled out of bed one morning, stumbled through the hallway & proceeded to fall down a flight of stairs. It sucked! The solid oak staircase & hardwood floors at the bottom did not make for a very soft landing. What was I thinking about right…

Love Of Money

Uncategorized
"For the love of money is the root of all evil" ~1 Timothy 6:10. Notice it doesn't say that 'money' is the root, it says 'love of money' is the root. We wrote "In God We Trust" on our money to remind us to Love God, not money. The Love of God & Country... the Love of family & friends... the Love of service to others... these things MUST take priority over money. If I keep money where it belongs on my list of priorities then money will serve me, instead of me being a slave to it. Have a great day everybody!
